Our History

Shaping fertility since 1985

London Women's Clinic was founded in 1985 on Harley Street, and ever since we have spent four decades at the forefront of fertility science, building a network of clinics, a team of world-leading specialists, and a legacy of firsts that no other UK fertility provider can match.

We were the first clinic in the UK to offer fertility treatment to single women and LGBTQIA+ patients. We achieved the UK's first live birth from frozen donor eggs, the first live birth for a same-sex male couple using a surrogate, and the first live birth using eggs from a transgender man donated to his female partner. These are not footnotes — they are the foundation of who we are.
