Getting Started

Understanding your Fertility

A Fertility Health Assessment (FHA) is your first step towards understanding your fertility and what it means for you. Whether you’re thinking about starting a family now, planning ahead or exploring your options as a single person or couple, a fertility test gives you clear, personalised information.

What is a Fertility Health Assessment?

A Fertility Health Assessment is a personalised review of your reproductive health. It combines medical testing with a thoughtful doctor consultation, so you’re not just given results, you’re given understanding.

Everyone’s fertility journey is different. This assessment helps us look at the factors that matter to you, in the context of your age, health, history and goals.

Is this the right step for you?

You might consider a Fertility Health Assessment if:

  • You’ve been trying to conceive and want to understand what might be affecting things
  • You’re thinking about trying in the future and want reassurance or clarity
  • You’ve experienced miscarriage or unsuccessful treatment elsewhere
  • You’re considering fertility preservation, such as egg freezing or sperm freezing
  • You simply want answers without pressure to “do something next”

Many people come to us feeling anxious, uncertain or worried they’ve waited too long.
These feelings are common, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before you book.

What’s Included in a Fertility Test?

Your Fertility Health Assessment is designed around you - whether you’re attending on your own or as a couple. It offers a personalised view of your reproductive health, combining medical testing with thoughtful discussion, so you understand not just the results, but what they mean for you.

Blood tests help us understand how the ovaries are functioning and how hormones are working together. These may include markers linked to egg quantity, egg quality, and ovulation. Together, they give important insight into current fertility health.

For couples, a semen analysis is an essential part of understanding fertility. This test looks at sperm count, movement and shape, helping to identify any factors that may affect conception. Results are explained clearly and sensitively, with time to ask questions.

A pelvic ultrasound gives a detailed look at your ovaries and uterus. It can identify conditions such as fibroids, cysts or polyps and measures your antral follicle count - a key indicator of ovarian reserve that adds context to hormone results.

Your specialist will take time to discuss your medical history, menstrual cycle, previous pregnancies or treatments, and any lifestyle factors that may be relevant. This helps us build a complete picture and tailor advice to your individual situation.

We explain your results in plain language, with care and clarity. There are no rushed conversations, no unexplained numbers and no assumptions about what you should do next, just honest, supportive guidance.

How It Works

Take the guesswork out of your fertility journey. Our step-by-step assessment guides you through tests, specialist consultations, and personalised advice so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Step 1

Choose the assessment that suits you - for women or couples - and schedule your appointment. You’ll receive clear instructions on what to expect so you feel prepared.

Step 2

Complete your ultrasound, blood test, and, if applicable, semen analysis. These tests take place in your nearest clinic and give a clear picture of your fertility health.

Step 3

Meet with your fertility specialist to review your results and medical history. This is a time to ask questions, discuss your journey and understand your fertility in plain, understandable terms. This can take place in person or virtually.

Step 4

Your specialist will explain your fertility status and any lifestyle recommendations, helping you make informed decisions about your next steps.

Step 5

If treatment is appropriate, you’ll receive a tailored plan that includes guidance on options, costs, and any necessary medication. You remain in control at every stage.

What This Assessment Can - and Can’t - Tell You

A Fertility Health Assessment can offer valuable insight, but it’s important to be honest about its limits.

It can:

  • Give a clear picture of your current reproductive health
  • Identify potential factors that may affect fertility
  • Help guide decisions about timing, next steps, or further testing

It can’t:

  • Predict whether or when you will conceive
  • Guarantee future fertility or outcomes

Fertility is influenced by many variables, some of which change over time. Our role is to help you understand what we can measure today and what that means for you.

What Happens After Your Assessment?

Some people leave feeling reassured. Others gain clarity about potential next steps or options they want to consider. If further investigation or treatment is appropriate, we’ll guide you through it carefully. If not, that’s equally valuable information to have.

The next step is always your choice. There is no pressure, no rush - only guidance and support tailored to you.

A Step About Understanding - Not Pressure

Choosing to learn more about your fertility is a thoughtful decision. Wherever you are on your journey, a Fertility Health Assessment can help you feel more informed, grounded and in control. We’re here to support you every step of the way, with care, honesty and respect, helping you make decisions that are right for you.
