Founded in 1985, London Women's Clinic is one of the UK's most experienced private fertility clinics. For over 40 years we have combined scientific breakthroughs with compassionate, personalised care, supporting both NHS and self-funded patients, including solo parents, couples and LGBTQIA+ families of every kind.

From the moment we opened our doors in the 1980s, London Women's Clinic has led where others followed. With a clear mission to provide inclusive and patient-centred care, at a time when access was often restricted. In the 80s and 90s, single women and lesbian couples often faced significant barriers to treatment, with many applications declined and societal assumptions outweighing compassion. We emerged to challenge this landscape, offering care that put patients - not prejudice - first.
Under the leadership of Dr Kamal Ahuja and Professor Nick Macklon, we have built a clinic network defined by consistency, innovation and care — delivering world-class treatment not just in London, but across the UK.

London Women's Clinic holds a unique research licence among UK fertility providers. Our published studies have improved IVF success rates, refined egg freezing techniques, advanced genetic embryo screening, and created new pathways for transgender parents, same-sex couples and solo parents.
